Chicopee Games Inc.

This week we had to use the gameflow evaluation matrix to score another game and afterwards "Who the f*** is?" so that we could see the things we could work on, the aspects that are missing and so on.

Chicopee Games Inc. were testing the “facebook” application “Geo Challenge” because our game will be working similar in some ways. We found out that it is working quite well [which is obviously why it is so popular]. However that comparison of your games helped us to understand the difficulties of an online game, such as these “facebook” applications.

Even though it supports the competition between the players, because of the unobtrusively visible score, it appears not as a game which supports cooperation between the gamers. We know we probably won’t be able to change that fact for “Who the f*** is?”. Therefore we were thinking of a new way to create some kind of social interaction between the users. Our plan is to manage some sort of “Live-Challenge” where two participants get the same quests and are really playing against each other.

This is our sketch for the storyboard. It is there to show the action which tkes place in the game - and all the steps is makes while playing "Who the f*** is?"

During the last weeks Chicopee Games Inc. worked on the screen design and layout of “Who the f*** is?”. Furthermore we discussed the logo and an overall design theme for the game. We now proudly present some possible characters which show the style we are taking for our project.
We believe that this form of illustration will separate us from the already existing facebook applications.

We also started to work on the famous people; researching their lives and creating hints for the different levels. By next lesson we have planned to collect enough questions about 15 to 20 people, including Marie Curie and J.F.K.
