A Star Is Born...
We proudly present: Who the f** is?

WORKING TITLE: Who the f** is?
GENRE: quiz [puzzle] game
PLATFORM: web [facebook.com application]
TARGET AUDIENCE: probably 18 – 35

THE STORY:
“Who the f** is?” is based on the game idea of “Wer bin ich?”. In the game the player gets clues about a famous person [historical character] and has to choose the correct one of some possibilities. The game will start easy with enough time to give the right answer but each lever is going to be more difficult and tricky.

LEARNING OUTCOME:
We know that applications like this one are very popular and are played by a lot of people – male and female. So be believe that the players will get knowledge about important people of the past and present and therefore useful facts about history, art, science and politics. It is also the game challenge that will hopefully make the game interesting for new players.

Fourth Assignment
Last Wednesday [21th of October] after the GBL lecture, chicopee games inc. was holding a meeting. Together, we discussed new ideas. Ideas from which we thought they would be possible to realise, but also funny and smart. We determined to present the two most winning ones to M. Pivec.

Both games would be web applications [probably even for facebook.com] but the issues were quite different. We where happy to realise that M. Pivec was willing to accept our change of mind and support both concepts.

Now Or Never...
Each member of chicopee games inc. was working on the game. But in the end we had to face the fact that time we spend on creating the story was far too much. We recognised that if we would stick with this concept, we probably wouldn’t be able to finish the work until the end of the semester.

So we had a terrible choice to make: we could keep the giant concept of our game or we could try to find a new one. And that’s what we did. We realised that we had to make this choice now or never, because waiting too long was no possibility.

Third Assignment
Last Friday [16th of October] chicopee games inc. decided to work on one of the two existing ideas. After the discussion with M. Pivec, none of us was really comfortable with the outcome. Even though the idea was interesting and had a useful concept – M. Pivec explained to us that the amount of work for designing the game would maybe be too much for the four of us.

However, we continued on planning the game, working on the concept, the learning outcome and the storyline.
